T.e.g. Spine slightly faded, slight rubbing to cloth, else a very good copy. Gilt lettering on spine and cover is about
90%. HOWES B-181. "A lively chronicle of fighting, marching and waiting. The 3rd Texas Cavalry was very active and
distinguished in the fighting of the western campaigns. Barron's recollections of soldier life in camp and in the field
are a valuable addition to the narrative of battles and skirmished. the sum total is one of the better Confederate
memoirs treating of the western cavalry." Krick 25. The book is tightly bound with the pages clean. The book is
inscribed in the front with, Gen'l. W. L. Cabell with the compliments of the Author, it also reads, Received May the
6th 1910 from his old friend and comrade Captain S. B. Baron of ??? ??? Mrs. Cabell. The book has Cabell's name on the
front cover.
